Ahhh.... More Macro.

For pleasure, I shot this marble for macro class the other day.  I rigged a special snoot to become a light pedestal using a tungsten mini-light.  I really like the depth and color.  Shot with a Nikon D700 for 4 secs. @ f40, ISO 200.

I Heart Macro!

We finally started Macro Photography this week.  Our instructor unleashed us to go have some fun finding interesting objects.  I borrowed this from a fellow student and had fun practicing with new equipment.  I shot this with a Nikon D700 at ISO200 at 1/80th of a sec @ f51!  I used a 105mm macro lens to capture the interesting glass colors.  A pair of 750's lit the charm evenly.  I'm very excited to get more practice with these wonderful lenses.

Portrait Bay Light Lesson

For our Bio-Portrait class we had to work with five lights and in the portrait bay.  So many options for us.  Here we have a left kicker light only.  On the right we all five strobing for the full effect.  I used a Nikon D700 to shoot at 1/60 @ f8, ISO 200.

My Bio-Com portrait assignment with Torii Rogers

We had to illustrate the five styles of portrait lighting today.  Torii was a great model to work with.
I shot this with a Nikon D700 at 1/125 @ f2.8 at ISO 200.
